comments It's hard to believe that 25 years have flown by since those last blissful (?) days at York High School. Those times seem so dreamy and distant that it's difficult to fathom that they ever happened at all! I'm sure that I'm not alone in feeling that those days were in a different life and that we have all morphed into completely different beings than what we ever thought we would become. I'd wager that out of all the class prophecies mine was the only one that became true. "Cathy Higgins leaves to start her own studio." After a few detours (a degree from UNL, editing, writing, publication designing) I did find myself with my own studio. Now, however, I have limited my business to on-location work and no longer have my own studio. This way I have more time to spend being a taxicab mom, dishwasher and cook. I also devote some of my time to my hobbies. I have been married nearly 20 years to my husband, Scott, who is an investment broker for Dain Rauscher. We've lived in the same house for 14 years in southeast Lincoln. I keep in touch with my oldest brother, Pat, who lives in Seward and my youngest brother, Mike, who lives in Reno, NV. My brother Blake passed away in 1999. I have a busy, happy and pampered life and, in hindsight, wouldn't change a thing about my past!
